Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is optimistic his team can embrace the Premier League title this season. It was uttered after the Reds slaughtered Manchester United 0-3 at Old Trafford on Sunday (16/3).
Gerrard look slick in the summer games. He successfully contributed two goals via penalty. One other goal scored by Liverpool's Luis Suarez.
"We will enjoy this night, however, we must immediately move on. We have shown that we are serious challenger to the EPL title. We will fight for the title," he told Sky Sports.
"We are confident that Liverpool can win the EPL championship title. However, as I've said many times, in football, it's easy if you just talk. Against Cardiff we should like us against United today. Similarly against Sunderland. If it continues to do so , we will win a lot of games from now until the end of the season, "he said.
